💼 About the Role
As a Healthcare Customer Service Expert, candidates will become the first point of contact for patients seeking home healthcare services and providers requesting authorization. Working within a structured and supportive remote team, associates will manage a steady flow of inbound calls—typically 60–65 per day—ranging from general inquiries to more complex healthcare service requests.

📍 Location: 100% Remote
🗓 Start Date: Monday, February 9th, 2026
💰 Pay: $17.50/hour + monthly bonus incentives
🎓 Training & Nesting: 5 weeks, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm EST
🕒 Post-Training Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:30am–8:00pm EST
👉 Note: Nesting is the support phase after training where new team members take live calls with extra guidance to build confidence and skill.
📞 A Day in the Life of a Phone Intake Associate
🌐 Work Environment
Fully remote
High-volume inbound healthcare call center
Dual-monitor setup for efficient navigation and multitasking
📲 Daily Responsibilities
Handle 60–65 incoming calls from patients, referral sources, and healthcare providers
Assist callers with:
Durable medical equipment (DME) orders 🦽
Home healthcare services 🏥
Service registration questions
New service requests (wheelchairs, wound care supplies, diabetic equipment, etc.)
Status updates on existing requests
Use several systems and applications simultaneously
Follow scheduled breaks, including a 30-minute lunch
Maintain professionalism, empathy, and accuracy with each call

🎓 Qualifications
📘 High School Diploma or GED
📞 2+ years of call center customer service experience
🏥 1+ year healthcare experience + familiarity with medical terminology
🖥 Ability to navigate dual monitors and multiple applications
⌨️ Typing speed: 30 WPM
🔍 Confident using browsers, search tools, and basic troubleshooting
💻 Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
📝 Must pass the SHL Customer Service Phone Simulation Assessment
